WELLNESS COACHING
Health crisis turned your life upside-down?
Have you achieved relative stability with your illness but need support?
Is there more to life with chronic illness than stability and survival?
Welcome!
In 2012, I got three central sensitivity syndromes: Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.), formerly known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Irritable Larynx Syndrome (ILS), and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS). These are debilitating, multi-systemic illnesses that reduced my function to less than 15% of normal. It took me over a year to get a diagnosis, another year to stabilize my health, and yet another to increase my function to 30%. There it stayed. In the decade since then, I have become an expert in symptom management strategies and optimizing well-being, and I created the life of my dreams—yep, even with chronic illness.
I’ve written two books on central sensitization and self-care and have assisted hundreds of people living with injury or illness in harnessing their creativity for healing and transformation. And now, thanks to several miracles of modern medicine, I am able to offer my wellness coaching services to you.
I specialize in coaching people with central sensitization and sensitivity syndromes, and I also work with people dealing with other health issues. Collaboration and clarity are key. I work with you to understand your wellness goals and create a custom plan, and then I support you as you move toward those goals. I do a lot of listening, inquiry, and reflection to help you make informed decisions and gain clarity on what's holding you back. To learn more about my coaching philosophy, see the FAQs.

What is your wellness coaching philosophy?
Hiring a coach doesn’t mean there’s a flaw in you—it means you need change and are willing to work for it. I believe collaboration and clarity are key. I work with you to understand your wellness goals and create a custom plan, and then I support you as you move toward those goals. I do a lot of listening, inquiry, and reflection, to help you gain clarity on things such as . . .
-
who you are and what you need,
-
how to recognize unhelpful assumptions and behaviors,
-
how to live a life full of joy and purpose,
-
how to meet uncontrollables with grace,
-
how to live in choice rather than reactivity,
-
how to communicate and live with authenticity,
-
how to meet your needs, and
-
how you relate to your illness or injury, your friends and loved ones, your finances, and yourself.
I don’t give advice. I don’t provide answers. I help you acquire insight and resources and find your own answers. The difficult work of change is done by you, the client. You make your own decisions. Think of me as your advocate and behavioral analyst. I connect to your needs and help you heal and build, and ultimately, thrive.
