I offer writing coaching, manuscript reading, and book editing services. Whether you’re an established or emerging writer, I can help you get your manuscript finished and polished and take your writing career to the next level.
I believe that once writers gain clarity on their projects and on anything holding them back, they can then make progress in their projects and their careers. Where are you located?
I live in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada, on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded tm̓xʷúlaʔxʷ (land) of the syilx / Okanagan people who have resided here since time immemorial. I recognize, honour, and respect the syilx / Okanagan lands upon which I live, work, and play.
Do you work with people outside of Canada?
Yes, I work with people from all over the world.
May I pay you by the hour?
It generally is more cost-efficient for people to pay a project rate, but if hourly makes more sense for your project or circumstances, we can discuss it.
What genres do you work on?
I work primarily on speculative fiction and memoir, addiction, trauma, and twelve-stepping. I also work in other genres. Contact me if in doubt.
What if my project or my editorial needs don’t seem to fit in your offerings?
No problem. Contact me for a free 15-minute consultation call.
Do you work with writers on a single essay or short story, or only on book-length projects?
I can work with you on a single short piece, but it is usually more cost-efficient for you to work with me on a collection of essays or short stories.
Do you work with LGBTQIA+ people and projects?
I encourage and enjoy working with writers who identify as LGBTQIA+, disabled, BIPOC, non-binary, feminist, anti-racist, pro-environmental, and/or other identities that have been marginalized. Your voice is important. I want to hear it and help you be heard.
May I purchase your services for a friend?
Yes! Any of my services will make a supportive and thoughtful gift for your writer friend or loved one. Contact me to purchase a gift certificate.
Will you introduce me to publishers or agents?
Short answer is no. While I do offer suggestions as to how/where authors can query agents and publishers, I do not make connections for you.
